  14. Metrosoft Announces MetroTools 2.0 for NEXTSTEP
  15.  
  16. San Diego, May 10, 1993 - Metrosoft announced today that it will be shipping
  17. MetroTools 2.0 at the NeXTWORLD Expo. MetroTools is an integrated set of
  18. utilities that help make life easier in the NEXTSTEP environment. Version 2.0
  19. runs on both NeXT and NEXTSTEP/Intel computers. It features:

  21. - AppLauncher - a highly configurable dock extender.
  22.   Create groups of applications and documents, show their
  23.   names, use miniature icons, launch complete groups with
  24.   a single double-click and much, much more
  25.  
  26. - NiteLite is a full featured screen saver which  allows
  27.   you to have an animated Workspace backdrop, or slide show
  28.   of your favorite images. It can lock your screen without
  29.   logging out. NiteLite comes with an assortment of
  30.   modules. The user can choose to  run multiple modules
  31.   simultaneously and also run the screen saver and
  32.   backdrop while the NEXTSTEP login window is up.

  34. - Font Installer greatly simplifies the process of
  35.   installing fonts, and converting Macintosh-based
  36.   PostScript fonts for use on your NEXTSTEP computer. In
  37.   fact you can install megabytes worth of fonts in a variety
  38.   of formats, using a single drag followed by a button
  39.   click.

  41. - Also an Archiver, File Locator and Sound Importer

  43. - An expandable shell that other developers can use to
  44.   develop their own tools.
